Bohemia Interactive Community Awards 2009
ARMA and ARMA 2 community invited to vote for their favourite fan-created content.
Prague, Czech Republic – 1st December 2009 – Bohemia Interactive together with NaturalPoint and RockPaperShotgun.com today announces the start of the 2009 Community Awards which invites the extensive ARMA and ARMA 2 community to nominate and vote for their favorite fan made content. Winner of each category will win a pack of attractive prizes including one of 5 TrackIR’s from NaturalPoint.
“Our titles are known for their complexity and open approach to the modding community. Modding tools released by us earlier this year, together with a complex yet easy-to-use mission editor allow fans to create their own custom content, far above and beyond fan content typical even for other PC exclusive titles.” explains Marek Spanel, Bohemia’s CEO and continues: “We have always believed in the power of a strong community and the benefits which both sides receive from such a strong relationship. I respect each and every fan that spends hours and hours doing the precise and patient work on new ingame models, missions or even complex modifications such as completely new environments or campaigns. We would like to express our thanks to all these guys and we believe that an annual Community Awards is the best way to celebrate this exhaustive work and show the fruits of such labor, beyond the walls of our own community forums.”
The 2008 awards were a great success and we received some very positive feedback from members of our community that told us that this annual tradition must continue, and here they are!
Strengthened by the official partnership with NaturalPoint, creator of unique TrackIR PC accessories and supported by RockPaperShot.com we’re pleased to announce the launch of the 2009 Community Awards.
