BLOCKDOT BRINGS HOME TROPHY FROM 2007 BUZZ AWARDS
November 1, 2007 (Dallas, TX) - Dallas-based Blockdot received honors at the 2007 BUZZ Awards, bringing home a trophy for "Find the Pink Spoon," a deliciously fun interactive experience created for Baskin-Robbins.
The BUZZ Awards, presented by Adweek Magazines, celebrates the best in brand/media integration. Blockdot won its award by beating out a group of respected competitors in the Gaming category; entrants were required to seamlessly incorporate a character, jingle or product into the world of a game.
"Find the Pink Spoon" was designed to encourage ice cream lovers to search for Baskin-Robbins's iconic pink spoons that were hidden at secret locations across the country. Clues to those locations could be found by answering a variety of edge-of-your-seat trivia questions. This "Mash-Up" game was the first to use "Yahoo! Maps" in a trivia-style scavenger hunt promotion.
Although Baskin-Robbins's summer promotion has ended, you can still treat yourself to a game of "Find the Pink Spoon" at www.findthepinkspoon.com.
