BlizzCon 2011 dates confirmed
Blizzard books Anaheim Convention centre for October 21-22
BlizzCon 2011 will take place on October 21-22, 2011, at the usual venue of the Anaheim Convention Centre, Anaheim, California.
The event is centred around the fan communities which have grown around Blizzard's three major IPs: Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo. Usually, the conference will feature several fan-led events, as well as hands-on with the latest builds of forthcoming games, panel discussions with various Blizzard staff and competitions, such as the ever popular cosplay event.
"We look forward to holding another exciting BlizzCon this year, filled with some great entertainment and competition, as well as the latest news about Blizzard games," said Blizzard CEO and co-founder, Mike Morhaime.
"BlizzCon is built from the ground up with our community in mind - we're pleased to be able to host an event where players can come together to have fun and celebrate their passion for gaming."
Tickets for the hugely popular conference usually sell out within a matter of miuntes, and Blizzard often reserves important announcements and reveals for the show by way of rewarding fans for their loyalty. Last year, StarCraft 2 was a prominent subject, as was Diablo 3, which is likely to dominate the schedule for this year.
Ticket numbers and pricing are yet to be confirmed, but details will be published on the Blizzard website once available.
