Blitz Games is moving into the cultural heritage sector by acquiring virtual reality specialist the Virtual Experience Company.

Blitz Games is moving into the cultural heritage sector by acquiring virtual reality specialist the Virtual Experience Company.

The developer hopes to work with museums, galleries and other organisations to add digital experiences to their cultural offerings.

"This partnership brings fantastic visuals and engaging, interactive and multiplayer gameplay together with videogames to sectors that are increasingly interested in connecting with a digitally enabled generation," commented Mike Gogan, founder of the Virtual Experience Company.

"We've always been at the leading edge of applying new technology in areas where it can make a difference and this initiative opens up really exciting possibilities," he said.
