BlazBlue: Continuum Shift
New Guinness World Record set at the MCM Expo.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Bristol, UK (2 nd November 2010) PQube and Zen United are pleased to announce that Kyle ‘Kyzertron’ Dixon set a brand new Guinness World Record for Arc System Work’s BlazBlue: Continuum Shift at the BlazBlue booth at this year’s MCM Expo in London.
Battling it out in front of a huge crowd of onlookers, Kyzer took on fans of the critically acclaimed fighter and, in an astonishing display of skill, emerged victorious against every challenger. Using the character Lambda, Kyzer racked up an incredible 32 wins in just 60 minutes, winning all 64 rounds and averaging a victory every 100 seconds.
“I am very proud of my world record - I had more fun than I could have ever imagined” said world record holder, Kyzer. “I am grateful for the opportunity and even more grateful for the turnout. The event was beyond my expectations, BlazBlue really deserves the limelight in Europe. I’d love to see it become the number one VS game in Europe.”
“Kyzertron’s record is a stunning example of his skill as a gamer, and he’s definitely earned his place in the Guinness World Records Gamer’s Edition 2011” said Gaz Deaves, Gaming Editor at Guinness World Records. “The UK BlazBlue community turned out in full force for the attempt, and in spite of the prizes on offer for anyone who could beat Kyzertron, he still had some very vocal supporters and the atmosphere was fantastic throughout.”
The world record attempt was just one of the highlights at the BlazBlue booth, which made it one of the busiest and most popular exhibits at the show.
“It was great to see so many BlazBlue fans. The number of people waiting to challenge Kyzer during the World Record attempt was unbelievable - with a 100+ strong queue stretching around the stand to witness Kyzer successfully set a new world record.” said Abid Gangat, Key Account and Trade Marketing Manager at PQube. “I would like to thank Guinness World Records for adjudicating at the event, for all the fans who waited patiently for their opportunity against Kyzer, and of course for Kyzer showing us just how good he really is.”
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift will be available on XBOX 360™ and PLAYSTATION®3 this November.
