Best Buy UK reveals opening weekend offers
US chain's first UK store to sell Wiis at £99.99 and spotlight new range of 3DTVs
Retailer Best Buy has announced a series of high value opening offers for its first store in the UK, due to open at the West Thurrock retail park on Friday, April 30.
Four days of activities are planned over the May Bank Holiday weekend, focused on music, movies and video games.
On bank holiday Monday the store will focus on Nintendo products between 9am and 9pm, with a Mario Kart Wii competition to win a Nintendo Wii and games.
Amongst various low cost HDTV and Blu-ray deals the store will also be offering a new black Wii console priced at £99.99 (a 44 per cent discount), a Xbox 360 Elite bundle for £199.99 (20 per cent discount), and a PlayStation 3 250GB bundle for £249.99 (17 per cent discount).
The store is also planning to showcase 3DTVs from Samsung, LG, Panasonic and Sony, with a spotlight on the 40" Samsung UE40C8000, priced at £2000. Other models and brands range in price to up to £2,300 for the Panasonic 50” plasma TX-P50VT20B 3DTV.
