Bellfield leaves Sega of America

One of the key figures in the upper management of Sega of America has announced his departure from the company to pursue an opportunity elsewhere in the videogame industry.

Charles Bellfield, who has held a number of positions at the company, most recently vice president, strategic planning and corporate affairs, has been one of the most public faces at Sega of America over the past few years.

It's not yet known where he is planning to move to, although he indicated in a note to former colleagues that details will follow shortly. One obvious possibility is Microsoft, where former boss Peter Moore moved to after leaving Sega of America earlier this year.
