Bee Patrol
Creating a buzz among iPhone line-drawing fans.
For Immediate Release
Montgomery, NJ--October 28, 2010--IslandJohn unveils Bee Patrol, a new flight-strategy game for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad with a creative take on the line-drawing genre. In Bee Patrol, players draw individual flight paths for a swarm of Mother Nature’s hardest workers, ensuring the survival of the bee colony. As they progress and encounter new creatures and gameplay mechanics, players can see what it’s like to live a day in the life of the little black and yellow striped stingers!
Bee Patrol uses the natural pollination cycle as an underlying theme of the game. Bees play an integral role in the ecosystem of flowering plants, so manufacturing honey is only one aspect of the game. Unpollinated flowers will wither and fade so players must make sure their bees cross-pollinate while collecting nectar on their way back to the hive. In addition, drones must avoid enemy insects, the greater forces of nature, and mid-air collisions with other bees.
Delivering a compelling new experience to the flight-strategy genre, Bee Patrol incorporates several beautifully rendered environments for players to explore. A kaleidoscope of colors brilliantly brings the environment to life as players progress through two modes and 18 different levels.
“Our studio is geared towards re-inventing classic games and breathing new life into old genres,” says John Szatmary, founder and CEO of IslandJohn. “With Bee Patrol, we created a game that is as visually stunning as it is entertaining. The fun of Bee Patrol never spoils, just like honey!”
