Love optics?  Want to make it snow - or not?  Beamed Xmas puts the physics of light at your fingertips. Create dazzling and unexpected networks of colored light beams while learning the basics of color combination, reflection and refraction.  And you can turn the snow on and off with the touch of a button!

Charlottesville, Virginia - glimmerWave software announces the release and immediate availability of Beamed Xmas for iPhone and iPod touch with Game Center Leader boards. Beamed Xmas is a free winter-themed puzzle game for the iPhone and iPod touch that lets users directly experience the Physics of Light AND control the weather!

Beamed Xmas enables players to directly manipulate colored light beams by placing prisms, mirrors and beamsplitters within an optical maze. Each level contains one red, one green and one blue laser and an array of colored presents sprinkled throughout a maze. The red, green and blue light beams instantly combine onscreen as the player moves mirrors and prisms about, creating beautiful and often unexpected patterns of light. By dragging optical elements from the toolbar, players combine, split and bounce colored beams through the maze to match the color of each present.

Don't like snow? Turn it off in the Options menu!

Beamed Xmas comes with an integrated hint system to help players navigate its increasingly challenging mazes. If you find yourself stuck on a level a tap of the hint button will correctly position one of your pieces and will even drag additional optical elements from the toolbar. Beamed Xmas supports Game Center Leader Boards and will award points for each level that a player completes without the use of hints. Although Beamed Xmas supports all models of the iPhone and iPod touch the graphics are particularly beautiful on the Retina Display.

Beamed Xmas comes with 24 Free levels and Game Center. For even more fun try the original Beamed, now with 57 free levels and 100 more challenging levels available with upgrade.
