Plenty of events planned for the game at this year's Comic-Con in San Diego.
At Comic-Con 2009 in the San Diego Convention Center, SEGA’s upcoming Bayonetta video game will be given the full spectrum treatment with a developer panel, game demos, a live action model, and an attendee cosplay contest. See below for more details about the gaming world’s hottest new heroine!
Hand’s-On with Bayonetta
- Dates: July 23-26th
- Time: 9:30am-7pm all days except 9:30-5pm on July 26
- Location: SEGA Booth #5229
- Description: SEGA is scheduling appointments for media to come by the booth for a
demo and hand’s-on time with this highly anticipated video game from PlatinumGames, the developers of MadWorld. Other featured titles include Iron Man II, Planet 51, and Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing.
Panel: SEGA/PlatinumGames: The Making of Bayonetta™
- Date: Friday, July 24
- Time: 6:30pm-7:30pm
- Location: Room 10
- Description: Producer Yusuke Hashimoto and Lead Character Designer Mari Shimazaki provide an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of Bayonetta, a visually unparalleled action game that combines unique visual aesthetics with supernatural combat. In this war between angels and a heat-packing, hair manipulating witch, it introduces - literally and figuratively - a new breed of video game heroine. Developed by PlatinumGames for SEGA, this is their next big project on the heels of MadWorld™, one of the most lauded games for its ground breaking innovativeness. Audience members will be able to participate in a Q&A session with some other surprises in the works.

- Description: Stop by the SEGA booth to film or photograph Bayonetta in the flesh as she brings the dynamic character to life. You might also spot her sauntering around the show floor.
Cosplay Contest
- Date: Thursday July 24th
- Times: 9:30-7pm
- Location: SEGA Booth #5229
- Description: Come by the SEGA booth dressed as Bayonetta and you could win entry into our exclusive Bayonetta Event that evening! Tickets are limited, so be sure to channel your darkest and snarkiest inner-Bayonetta. Bonus points if you are accompanied by one of her derelict angel adversaries.
