Battle of the SuperModelers
Game artists invited to compete for $50,000-worth of kit.
Thursday, April 10---Fort Lauderdale, FL---GameRecruiter, the leader in recruitment services for the interactive entertainment industry, is excited to announce the launch of their debut 3D artwork contest for the games industry, the “Battle of the SuperModelers.” Presented in celebration of GameRecruiter’s 20th anniversary in the games business, the “Battle of the SuperModelers” is a one-of-a-kind digital art contest designed to support and promote professional and student 3D artists in the games community.
Game artists are invited to create an original real-time character model of a monster, creature, robot or alien that might be found in a fantasy, sci-fi or horror game and submit their 3D art entry online by Friday, August 15, 2008. The contest Grand Prize Winner and three finalists will receive a combined total $50,000-worth of digital art tools and technology from contest sponsors Alienware, Autodesk, Wacom and The Gnomon Workshop.

The four finalist winners will be judged on their final real-time model by a panel of industry judges. Judges will be announced by June 1, 2008. Fifty art entries will make it to the finals and be displayed on the GameRecruiter contest page. Deadline to enter is Friday, August 15, 2008. Winners will be announced by Monday, September 15, 2008.
