Battle Blasters

Update adds Bluetooth multiplayer.

TORONTO - February 25, 2010

Little Guy Games, an independent Toronto-based game studio, today announced an update that enables multiplayer via Bluetooth for their debut title Battle Blasters, a futuristic, 1-on-1 fighting game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The most-requested feature from fans and players allows fighters to have maximum control over the battle as they swipe, flick and tap their opponents to death.

Also announced today is the release of a free demo for Battle Blasters, available now in the App Store. Battle Blasters Free allows players to take control of Jerret, one of six characters in the full version, as they battle their way through the first three levels of the game. Battle Blasters Free also comes intact with the new Bluetooth multiplayer functionality, enabling users to embarrass their friends from the comfort of their own device.

“As the most requested addition from our fans, Bluetooth functionality significantly increases the appeal of Battle Blasters as a multiplayer game,” said Tom Frencel, president of Little Guy Games. “Our main priority is to continually update Battle Blasters with more content and new ways to play.”

Battle Blasters boasts a campaign mode, multiplayer on one device or via Bluetooth, a quickplay mode, and Facebook Leaderboards. The game features six characters, each with their own unique fighting style, abilities, and special weapons. Whether human, robot, alien, or something in between, in Battle Blasters the only language is gunshots and the only currency is plasma and lasers.

Available now in the iTunes App Store for $1.99 you can download the game here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/battle-blasters/id344610797?mt=8
