Balls to the offside rule

Flitzer football streaking game now available

Germany-based independent mobile games developer HandyGames has announced the availability of its alternative World Cup mobile game, Flitzer, which ignores the normal rules and interpretation of football to focus entirely on the "art" of streaking.

Billed as the first and only football streaking game for mobile phones, Flitzer challenges gamers to disrobe and entertain the roaring crowds with a series of daring stunts, acrobatics and authority-evading dances around the pitch.

Featuring a create-your-own character option, players can choose from either the Tournament or Endless game, outsmarting the bemused and startled security guards and deftly moving between the players on the pitch in an effort to perform the most outlandish streaking stunts.

Bonus items thrown onto the pitch by the cheering fans include an invisibility pill, speed boosts and objects that may cause the streaker to stumble. Hidden combos, multiple point scoring manoeuvres and the infamous 'egg dance' are all included, in addition to a high score table for the most daring gamers who don their birthday suits and invade the pitch. The game is also currently being adapted by dtp Entertainment for a PC release in May.

Available for a wide range of handsets through major operators and mobile entertainment portals, Flitzer can also be downloaded directly from the HandyGames website.
