BALL GRABBIN’ ACTION!

Pro Rugby Manager 2 Trailer Now Available

Rugby fans can finally take their first look at Pro Rugby Manager 2 in action as Digital Jesters release the first trailer for the world's number one rugby management game, developed by Cyanide Studio.

Packed with sneaky-peeks a month ahead of the game's release on February 25th, the trailer highlights plenty of new features for potential managers to get excited about. There has been plenty of hype surrounding the upgraded visuals of the 3D match engine, not least in the inclusion of perfectly modelled stadiums that any fan of the game will recognise instantly. The brand new 2D tactical view also gets a premiere, demonstrating the alternate way for armchair managers to take control of the match day excitement. The trailer also showcases the fluid movement of the players down on the pitch as they clatter into each other with ferocious realism, the result of months of motion capture involving professional rugby players. In addition, there are indications of just how deep the management side of the game will go with glimpses at the exhaustive range of manageable teams and players.

DJ are so excited about how gorgeous the stadiums are looking that we have decided to issue a challenge. Not that it should prove difficult seeing how accurate the stadium models are, but we want you to tell us the name of the stadium where you see a penalty being kicked in the trailer. Please email your answer to info@digitaljesters.com with the word stadium in the subject heading. You have until the 18th February to submit your answer and the first correct entry drawn out of our "e-hat" will win a copy of the game.

Note to editors: Founded in 2003, Digital Jesters is a British-based publisher of computer and video games. Set up by the duo responsible for launching and establishing the Sudden Strike and Cossacks series of games in the UK, the firm's remit is simple: to source and publish the best games available. The company's commitment to originality resulting in it snapping up the original TrackMania game from French developer Nadeo and DJ's ethos of community development strategy resulted in the game becoming one of the sleeper hits of the year. A tie-in with record-breaking yachtswoman Ellen Macarthur for the firm's second release Virtual Skipper 3 ensured the game received widespread attention among the elusive non-gamer, and firmly placed the publisher on the map. The firm has enjoyed three top 10 PC hits, one of which is from the developers Cyanide, creators of Pro Rugby Manager and now DJ is expanding its operation to cover additional territories. It has also published its own comic book to widespread critical acclaim.
