Players control heavily armored and wickedly fast mechanized warriors, competing in head to head battles, which have already proven a hit with gamers worldwide.
The new version of War World offers players a huge range of new options and features, including:

- NINE upgrade levels for each weapon
- ONE HUNDRED single player levels with SIX difficulty settings
- FOUR different Single Player game modes:Arcade, Death Match, Team Death Match & Custom
- FOUR different Multi Player game modes: Death Match, Team Death Match, Assault & Capture The Flag
- Credit based system to allow upgrades and purchases of new mechs, weapons and systems
- Multiple mech customization options
- Online game play via the Internet and LAN connections for the ultimate multiplayer challenge
Players visiting www.warworld.net can also download a demo version of the game, which offers single and multiplayer gaming, with a single mech class, and a single map, but access to the game's entire arsenal of awesomely powerful weapons.
www.warworld.net also offers the latest news and updates for the game, along with user forums and the War World community where fans worldwide can meet, arrange matches and tournaments and suggest their own ideas for the game.
War World: Tactical Combat has already received a great deal of critical acclaim and user feedback, from an initial release, which was available online in 2005. The game scored highly in reviews, with sites including an 8.3 rating from readers of Gamespot.com and comments such as "War World could easily rival Unreal for the position as the king of shooters. Its fast, slick, twitchy, and just downright fun" and scores of 9/10 from other reviewers.
Morten Brodersen, the Managing Director of Third Wave Games, says, "Since we first launched War World as an independent game in 2005, the response from players has been incredible. With the War World community being passionate and enthusiastic about the game, we've had plenty of feedback from players from day one and we've incorporated a lot of this into the game. This has kept the game really fresh and allowed us to create a fantastic multi-player experience. Even the demo version of the game will let players see just how far the game has come in the last few months. We're incredibly pleased to have the new version of the game released worldwide alongside the boxed copy released in Europe by Lighthouse."
