Babel's India QA team wins Counter Strike gaming tournament
Babel's New Delhi QA team won the annual Beyond the Game Counter Strike (Condition Zero) tournament, held at the Ansal Institute of Technology in Gurgaon on Saturday 5th February 2005.
The day of warfare in India consisted of 20 five-member clans from the surrounding three states of Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh as well as foreign nationals. Babel clan Assassins won the tournament after beating fellow Babel clan Omen by one point in the semi-finals. Third Babel clan CNM lost out in the second round after a gruelling tournament.
Counter Strike is the favourite pastime of Babel's India QA team and more than 75% of Babel staff belong to clans and compete regularly. Most lunches and evenings in the office evolve around multiplayer gaming and the results are evident. This qualifies the Babel India team to be the best players and testers of a wide range of titles, particularly FPS.
