AstroPop bursts onto mobiles from Glu

Action puzzle game created in collaboration with PopCap Games

Glu mobile has further strengthened its partnership with leading online casual games experts, PopCap Games, announcing the release of AstroPop for mobiles; an addictive action puzzle title suitable for gamers of all ages.

AstroPop challenges gamers to guide their AstroPilot around the screen, reconfiguring the colourful falling bricks in an attempt to group four or more of the same colour, dispersing them from the play area.

In a twist on similar puzzle games, matching bricks accumulates energy for SUPA weapons which can be unleashed to score big points. There are three unique AstroPilots to choose from, each with their own personal SUPA weapon. The mobile game also features countless levels, bonus rounds and two distinct modes of play.

Classic mode allows SUPA weapon upgrades as players fight towards reaching checkpoints through increasingly frantic levels. The Survi9val mode is an endless onslaught of falling bricks, challenging the skills of even the most ardent action puzzle fan. Specific bricks hold unique properties to help or hinder the gameplay, in addition to the inclusion of special bonus rounds that are particularly testing of players' reflexes.

Already receiving considerable critical acclaim within the mobile industry, AstroPop is available now for multiple handsets through Glu's online portal. The puzzle game is the latest title to be released by Glu as part of its relationship with web and casual game specialists, PopCap Games.

Based in Seattle, PopCap has successfully delivered over 150 million downloads of its acclaimed web games, including Bejewelled Deluxe and the award-winning Zuma, which is also available for mobile phones through Glu Mobile.
