Astraware launches Big Box of Blox
Premium puzzler now available on Palm OS and Windows Mobile
Mobile games publisher and developer Astraware has announced the launch of Big Box of Blox, a psychedelic puzzle game specifically created for the wireless platform following a successful debut on PC.
The game features five different gameplay modes, in addition to a Custom Mode which allows gamers to create their own unique version of the frantic puzzler.
Blox will fall from the top of the screen, and players will need to make best use of special items such as jokers, bombs, frogs, mushrooms, fireballs and slot machines to smash, crush or explode the falling pieces and clear the board.
Faithful to the PC version, the wireless adaptation includes colourful animated backgrounds, an epic soundtrack and special sound effects, and a constantly changing selection of psychedelic graphics.
Rich Carlson, co-founder of developers Digital Eel, commented: "We originally intended to make a nice normal blox stacking game. However, we failed to accomplish this goal marvellously. Big Box of Blox is anything but normal."
Available directly from the Astraware website and retailing for US$ 19.95, Big Box of Blox is compatible with devices running Palm OS 5.0 upwards, and Windows Mobile for Pocket PC and Smartphone 2003, 2003SE and 5.0.
