Assassin's Creed takes UK #1, but sells fewer at retail than Unity
Guitar Hero Live rolls in at third with Zelda taking eleventh
Assassin's Creed Syndicate has secured another first place in the UK retail chart for Ubisoft, despite recording fewer physical sales on the Chart-Track record than previous title Unity. In fact, according to the figures provided, Syndicate has sold less well than "any of the other major entries in the famous series", only managing to outperform Rogue as far as console releases are concerned.
However, it should be noted that the numbers do not account for any digital sales, which may well make up some of the shortfall.
Elsewhere in the chart, Guitar Hero's revival sees it take third place below FIFA 16, with LIVE selling 23.4 per cent better than the previous game, released five years ago. Nintendo's new 3DS release, Zelda: Triforce Heroes, falls just outside the top ten in eleventh place.
