Assassin's Creed III and Halo 4 lead 2013 WGA nominees
The Writers Guild announces last year's gaming contenders
The Writers Guild of America has announced its nominees for the 2013 Writers Guild Awards, including the category for Outstanding Achievement in Videogame Writing. Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed III and Assassin's Creed III: Liberation took a large number of the nominations this year, with other entries representing Activision's 007 Legends and Microsoft's Halo 4.

In order for a videogame writer to be nominated, the titles had to be released between December 1, 2011 and November 30, 2012 and include on-screen writing credits. The writers also had to apply to become members of the WGA Videogame Writers Caucus when their scripts were submitted.
The 2013 Writers Guild Awards will be held in Los Angeles and New York on February 17, 2013.
