Artificial Life announces new m-commerce portal

Games, apps and content to be sold directly to end users

Hong Kong-based wireless technology and entertainment provider Artificial Life has announced the imminent launch of its new m-commerce web portal, designed to provide easy access to AL products and services directly to mobile phone users.

Launching in March 2006, the new portal will offer a variety of proprietary and popular AL products including games, wallpapers, screensavers, ringtones, truetones, video mails and more. Removing any potential delays and restrictions imposed by network operators, customers can purchase and download all content directly to their handsets or mobile devices - regardless of location or mobile operator.

Artificial Life founder and CEO Eberhard Schoeneburg commented: "The launch of our new m-commerce portal is a big step forward for us. It will provide us with a new global sales channel directly to end users and an additional revenue stream. It will also make us more independent of the mobile operators and therefore will further strengthen our position in many of the global mobile markets."

Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Hong Kong, Artificial Life is a public US corporation focused on the development and publishing of mobile games, applications and content for both 2G and 3G networks. The company's portfolio of interactive mobile games includes V-Girl and V-Boy - two networked mobile interactive companions aimed at boys and girls aged 15 to 30, and Virtual Penguins - a massive multiplayer action game with a strong virtual community.

The new m-commerce portal will feature all current and forthcoming games and content from Artifical Life, and is expected to generate significant additional revenue for the company, bolstering its existing publishing, distribution and content aggregation partnerships.
