Top Gear: Downforce for Nintendo DS™ Brings a New Perspective To Strategic Racing Games

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CHAPEL HILL, NC - September 12, 2007 - Merscom's ShadeTree Games label today announces that it is partnering with Destineer's Bold Games division, a leader in casual games, to publish Top Gear: Downforce for the Nintendo DS. Rated "E" for Everyone by the ESRB, the game has a suggested retail price of $29.99 (USD).

Top Gear: Downforce, developed by Tantalus Interactive, brings the speed and fury of strategic racing to the DS with a new top-down viewpoint, boasting 3D models, robust vehicle physics, and the ability to place hazards on the track surface using the touch screen. With 30 vehicle options, a multitude of hazards, and alternate paths and shortcuts, players may test their abilities in the single-player mode or challenge their friends via wireless multiplayer races.

"Top Gear Downforce represents the ideal opportunity for Merscom to extend its publishing operations to the Nintendo DS," said Lloyd Melnick, Chief Customer Officer of Merscom. "Not only is it a fantastic game, but the Top Gear franchise is also well established with both retailers and gamers."
