Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game Galactic Hunters

Second expansion launches today.

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. — March 12, 2009 — For the first time ever, Star Wars Galaxies™ Trading Card Game players can add the most ruthless bounty hunters in the galaxy to their collections, providing a brand-new dimension of strategy to the game. With today’s launch, Galactic Hunters , the second expansion in the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game from LucasArts and Sony Online Entertainment LLC (SOE), comes 10 new bounty hunter-themed scenarios, which have been built specifically for both light and dark side players, as well as new keyword abilities and instantaneous in-game stat bonuses.

Galactic Hunters adds 180 new playable cards, each with original Star Wars™ themed artwork, and all-new loot for use in-game:

• The most feared scum and villainy in the galaxy – Players can add a host of powerful, iconic bounty hunters to their card collections, including Boba Fett, IG-88, Bossk, Zuckuss and 4-LOM.

• Bounty hunter-inspired loot cards – More than 20 new bounty hunter-inspired loot cards will be available and are redeemable for virtual items in the Star Wars Galaxies massively multiplayer online game (MMO) *, including the Armored Bantha Mount, the Zam Wesell Airspeeder, plus the first-ever loot collection reward, the Merr-Sonn JT-12 jetpack!

The Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game marks the first ever trading card game of its kind offered exclusively online. Available to both current and former Star Wars Galaxies subscribers*, the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game provides players with an entirely new gameplay experience by combining the challenge of a trading card game with the adventures and community of an MMO. Players can build their own virtual decks to fight in the story mode, and participate in epic one-on-one matches, cooperative heroic encounters, regular sprints and official tournaments.

In addition, all Star Wars Galaxies subscribers with current, valid, paid accounts in good standing are eligible to automatically receive five digital trading card booster packs each month included with their paid Star Wars Galaxies subscription at no additional cost, providing a simple way to build their decks quickly and easily.

Anyone wishing to try the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game can do so at no charge by downloading a trial that includes limited access to a tutorial and practice games with the provided virtual starter card deck.

The Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game may also be accessed from inside Star Wars Galaxies and is available to trial players as part of the Star Wars Galaxies 14-day trial. This trial, offered at no charge for up to two consecutive weeks, also includes all of the content of the base game, Star Wars Galaxies™ An Empire Divided™ and its first expansion, Star Wars Galaxies™ Jump to Lightspeed™.
