360 GAMER goes widescreen
The UK's leading Xbox 360 magazine gets a new look
16/06/06 - Uncooked Media's 360 GAMER
magazine has received a facelift, and is now super A4 size
(297x230mm) from issue 11, on sale 22 June. Best of all, 360
GAMER remains at a weighty 132 pages for £2.99, making it
even better value for Xbox 360 gamers than ever before.
Apart from being a larger size, issue 11 of 360 GAMER leads
with an exclusive look behind-the-scenes at the latest
project from the Bethesda, the home of The Elder Scrolls IV:
Oblivion. The Enterprise from Bethesda's forthcoming RTS
title Star Trek: Legacy dominates the cover and is the focus
of a six-page feature and interview. Bethesda also speaks
exclusively to 360 GAMER about Oblivion post-release, as well
as revealing its plans for the next two major downloads for
the game via Live Marketplace: Stronghold and Vile
Lair.
Not only that, but 360 GAMER is the first Xbox magazine to
preview Need for Speed: Carbon, the next-gen instalment of
the leading arcade racing franchise and surely the bookies
favourite for this year's Christmas number one video game?
Plus there is an extensive look at Tom Clancy's Splinter
Cell: Double Agent, which is shaping up to be Sam Fisher's
most ambitious adventure yet.
360 GAMER also interviews Artoon's Takua Matsumoto about Blue
Dragon - the anime-styled RPG that could be Microsoft's best
hope in breaking the Japanese market; as well as looking at
how Halo's Master Chief has become his own unique chat show
star. And if that's not enough Halo for you, 360 GAMER dares
to suggest '10 Things To Do While You Wait For Halo 3'. Plus,
360 GAMER has also teamed up with Rockstar Games to offer
readers the chance of competing in a unique Rockstar Games
Presents Table Tennis tournament to be held in a top secret
location in London during July.
Stu Taylor, Group Editor, Uncooked Media said:
"Whilst some are doing the Corn Flake diet this summer, in a
bid to look trim in their Speedos, we've laughed in the face
of convention and put weight on. The new, wider 360 GAMER
delivers more of what our readers want without losing any of
what they love and still at the same unbeatable price
point."
360 GAMER provides its readers access to a specially-created
download website, full of the trailers and game footage that
is traditionally bundled as part of a 'free' DVD in a
magazine package retailing for an average of £4.99. This
issue's 'Online Disc' features a documentary on Halo 3, plus
footage of Medal of Honor: Airborne, Unreal Tournament 2007,
Sonic the Hedgehog, Huxley, Spectral Force 3, The Shadow of
Aten and others.
Continuing its reputation for unbiased and honest opinion,
issue 11 of 360 GAMER also includes reviews of Chromehounds
and MotoGP '06, plus Xbox Live reviews of Rockstar Games
Presents Table Tennis and a re-review of the patched and
updated Call of Duty 2 on Xbox Live.
The comprehensive mix of features, developer interviews and
previews include coverage on the hottest Xbox 360 games,
including: Colin McRae '07, Mass Effect, The Club,
Battlestations: Midway, Indiana Jones, Overlord, Mutant Storm
Empire and many more.
Rounding off the complete Xbox 360 gaming package, this
issue's cheats and guides section includes valuable playtips
on Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis, Hitman: Blood Money
and Call of Duty 2's new multiplayer levels.
360 GAMER was launched by Uncooked Media in October 2005, and
is the only UK Xbox 360 magazine published every three weeks.
It also offers unbeatable value with a standard retail price
of £2.99 for 132 pages, and issue 11 will be available
through the likes of WHSmith, Asda, Sainsbury's, HMV,
Gamestation, Borders and newsagents. 360 GAMER is a member of
the Audit Bureau of Circulations.
Issue 11 of 360 GAMER goes on sale Thursday, 22 June, with a
coverprice of £2.99.
