Tripledot raises $116m in Series B funding round

Mobile game developer aims to increase game offerings and M&A operations following last year's studio expansion

Today mobile game developer Tripledot Studios announced that it has raised $116 million in a Series B funding round.

The investment gives the studio at an valuation of over $1.4 billion.

The company said that funding will go towards expanding its game offerings and M&A business operations.

The funding round was led by 20VC with participation from previous investors Access Industries, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Eldridge.

"The goal is to build a generational, once in a lifetime company", said Tripledot co-founder and chief operation officer Akin Babayigit.

"We have a robust pipeline of games; we launched 4 titles already this year with much more to come. We also plan to be very active on the M&A front. Our expertise in user acquisition, monetisation and data-driven product iteration allows us to scale our games quickly and very profitably."

Last year Tripledot raised $78 million in a Series A funding round and opened a development studio in Barcelona.
