Haven Studios co-founder Jade Raymond joins GI Live line-up
The games industry veteran will discuss launching an ambitious independent studio during a pandemic
Video games veteran Jade Raymond is the latest big name to join GI Live: London.
The former Ubisoft, EA and Google games exec will discuss launching and establishing a new games developer, Haven Studios, during a pandemic in an exclusive pre-recorded interview with GamesIndustry.biz.
Haven Studios was revealed earlier this year, and the Montreal-based team is working on an exclusive new IP for PlayStation. Raymond is highly regarded video games developer, producer and leader, and has held senior roles working on major franchises including Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Splinter Cell, Watch Dogs and Star Wars.
She joins a line-up that includes PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan, plus representatives from Xbox and Valve. The full speaker line-up will be announced tomorrow.
GI Live: London takes place online and in-person alongside the consumer show EGX between Wednesday, October 6th - Friday, October 8th. The venue is the Platinum Suite at the Excel Centre in London.
The first day of the event is a digital-only meeting day, where attendees can arrange meetings online and connect over video calls. Day two and three will take place in-person, and will feature networking, roundtables, talks, plus in-person meetings. Talks will also be streamed and available to view online for ticket holders.
Standard tickets include access to all three days, entry to the EGX consumer show, the physical and digital meeting system, all the talks and lunch on both in-person days. Digital-only tickets are also available.
Raymond's session follows the news that Xbox will be speaking with developers during a live talk, and Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan will be discussing his career with PlayStation in a pre-recorded fireside chat.
Another major speaker is Valve, which is hosting a Q&A with game developers about all things Steam, including best practices and the Steam Deck.
