Epic Games hires Adam Sussman as president
Sussman has held past VP roles at Take-Two, EA, Disney, and Zynga
Adam Sussman, the former chief digital officer of Nike, has joined Epic Games as its new president.
This news comes via a post from Sussman on LinkedIn, which Epic Games confirmed to GameSpot.
"After 5.5 great years at Nike, I have decided to move on to my next opportunity as President of Epic Games," Sussman wrote. "Nike is an amazing brand, I got a chance to work with many great people and I am so proud of what we accomplished together. While it's bittersweet, I am so excited to join Epic and honored to be part of the remarkable team that has built one of the biggest games in the world.
"2020 will be a big year for me and my wife, 3 kids and two dogs...A return to gaming, a move to North Carolina and an opportunity to help change the future of gaming."
Though Sussman's most recent role was with Nike, prior to that he held numerous leadership roles at various gaming companies. He was the senior VP of global publishing with Zynga from 2012 and to 2014, and did a brief stint before that at The Walt Disney Company as senior VP of publishing for DIMG Games. He has also held VP roles at both EA and Take-Two Interactive.
Sussman takes on the role of company president after Epic's previous president, Paul Meegan, stepped down last June.
