DrDisrespect returns to Twitch after ban over E3 livestream
Guy Beahm was widely criticised for streaming from a public bathroom during E3 2019
The streamer Guy "DrDisrespect" Beahm has returned to Twitch after being banned for a controversial broadcast during E3 2019.
Beahm had his E3 badge revoked for livestreaming from one of the event's public bathrooms, while it was in use by a number of apparently unaware attendees.
In addition to having his pass taken away, Beahm's Twitch channel was also taken offline. While the streaming platform didn't explicitly state its reasons for doing so, the livestream would have breached a number of its community standards -- including "sharing content that violates another's reasonable expectation of privacy."
The ban was evidently just two weeks and -- as Kotaku pointed out -- the DrDisrespect fanbase was very happy to see Beahm's return.
Given his popularity, Twitch was never likely to ban Beahm for too long, but his antics may have longer term consequences. EA, which welcomed DrDisrespect onto its E3 stage, said that it was "evaluating" that professional relationship.
