UK Charts: Crash Bandicoot takes No.1 for a sixth consecutive week
Hello Neighbor returns to the Top 40
For a sixth-consecutive week, Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy is No.1 in the UK charts.
Meanwhile, LEGO The Incredibles is No.2 for a fourth consecutive week.
They achieved the feats because there's been no serious competition during the summer, although it is interesting to see kid-friendly products at the top of the charts. It bodes well for the upcoming Spyro game in September.
Switch sales have trended upwards during the summer months, partially thanks to a number of new releases - although it's the likes of Mario Kart 8, Super Mario Odyssey and Zelda: Breath of the Wild that are impressing the most. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe rises two places to No.3 this week.
This week Gearbox Publishing released Hello Neighbor on PS4 and Switch, which sees that game increase 970% in sales and re-enter the charts at No.16. That's really your lot this week.
August is a relatively quiet month for games. Next week there's Overcooked 2 and We Happy Few, which are promising indie titles. There's the new World of Warcraft expansion, plus remasters of Shenmue 1 and 2, PES 2019 and Strange Brigade over the following few weeks, too.
September is the month the High Street is waiting for, however. With a line-up that includes the three S' - Spider-Man, Spyro and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Plus the usual dose of FIFA.
