Detroit: Become Human hits one million sales faster than any Quantic Dream game
Co-CEO Guillaume de Fondaumière confirms Detroit reached the milestone after two weeks
Detroit: Become Human has sold one million copies, the fastest that a Quantic Dream game has ever reached that milestone.
Speaking to the French publication Les Echos, Quantic Dream's co-CEO Guillaume de Fondaumiere confirmed that Detroit has now sold one million units - two weeks after it launched exclusively for PlayStation 4.
De Fondaumiere suggested that this represents the best start for any of the French studio's games. Heavy Rain needed five weeks to reach that milestone, while Beyond: Two Souls only sold one million more than two months after launch.
However, that is still some way short of the sales achieved by other PlayStation exclusives this console generation. Sony Santa Monica's God of War, for example, sold 3.1 million units in just three days, while Guerrilla's Horizon: Zero Dawn (another new IP) reached 2.6 million in just over two weeks.
