Arkham City ships 4.6 million in week one
Rocksteady's Batman sequel doubles figures of original
Recent Batman sequel Arkham City shipped 4.6 million copies in its first week on sale, more than doubling the figure of its predecessor.
The game launched on October 18 in the US and in Europe on October 21, meeting with overwhelmingly positive critical coverage and hitting the UK's number one. The game currently has a 96 per cent average on PS3 and 95 per cent on Xbox 360.
"Batman: Arkham City is one of the best action adventure games, proven by the tremendous reviews, and it further establishes the Batman brand as a marquee franchise for our growing business," said Warner interactive president Martin Tremblay.
