The celebration comes in two forms: on the newspaper pages and in the virtual world of the first Arabic online game Arabic Rappelz.

In addition to the articles promoting reading habits and Arabic literature with this month edition of Hamaleel newspaper, readers will find a free gift along with the newspaper: Free Arabic Rappelz DVD.

Arabic Rappelz, the first Arabic MMO Game published by Game Power 7 in the Arab region, is holding a 1 week event to pay a world-wide tribute to books and authors on this date, encouraging everyone, and in particular gamers, to discover the pleasure of reading and gain a renewed respect for those who have furthered the social and cultural progress of humanity.

Throughout this event period, educational messages are announced to the players, and special virtual gifts are given away to players on the occasion.

Game Power 7 made part of its strategy to promote human development values through this virtual world, in a bid to aggregate these values among kids, teens, and young generation in the region.

It is also the date of birth or death of other prominent authors such as Maurice Druon, Haldor K.Laxness, Vladimir Nabokov, Josep Pla and Manuel Mejía Vallejo.
