Arcade-action shooter to blast off on Xbox LIVE this summer.
Frankfurt, Germany, April 7th 2010 – Today, the Slovak development studio Games Distillery officially announces that their upcoming naval shooter “AQUA” will be released in summer 2010 by Microsoft Game Studios on Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system. “AQUA” is a stylish arcade-action shooter with numerous tactical elements, driven by an entertaining story with beautiful hand-drawn comic sequences. The thrilling campaign mode and various exciting multiplayer modes are on the top level of audio-visual presentation for the target platform. The game itself is presented in a fictional Imperial Victorian setting.
In “AQUA” the player will take control of an elite cruiser and steer into the middle of a raging naval war where masses of enemies and allies engage in real-time operations. Being attacked from above and below the water surface the player has to destroy masses of enemies’ troops to be victorious. By unlocking new ship-types, weapons and upgrades, the player will have the opportunity to enhance his ship and gear up for the next fight. Choosing from various tactics and forming special supporting squadrons, the player will also have the option to command offensive and defensive troops in order to overcome large enemy formations and defensive installations.
