Application for Extreme Masters qualifier possible
Two days left to apply for the Extreme Masters by ESL national qualification handled by ESL Headquarters. Challenge Europe's best gamers in Wacraft 3 and Counter-Strike.
Cologne, September 4th - The application process for the national qualifications of the Extreme Masters by ESL has been started. The deadline for handing in applications is September 6th, 2006. In the following countries the qualifiers are handled directly by Germany's ESL Tournament Directors: Belaru s, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Turkey, United Kingdom and Ukraine. All other qualifiers are handled by the national ESL divisions. In the Extreme Masters the best players from Europe compete for a prize money of 160,000 Euro in the games Counter-Strike and Warcraft 3.
In order to sign up for the national qualification, players need an active ESL account. To apply in Counter-Strike an ESL teamaccount is also necessary. How to complete the profile, which data is important and further information, can be found on the ESL website.
In Warcraft 3, it is only allowed to play the national qualifier for the country the player lives in - in Counter-Strike three members of the team have to live in that country. Moreover the team s and players are asked to give the ESL certain data about their history and achievements. The team- and personal information are important to offer a well structured league with a toplevel of class.
Only players from countries without an active ESL Pro Series are allowed to participate in national qualifiers. In countries with an active ESL Pro Series the ESL Pro Series will serve as qualification.
