Apple's fiscal third quarter financial results show record-breaking revenues for the period ending June 25 2011.

The company posted quarterly revenue of $28.57 billion and net profit of $7.31 billion - a marked improvement on last quarter's $24.6 billion in revenue and $5.99 billion in profit, which also broke company records.

International sales increased by 3 percent over last quarter, now accounting for 62 percent of Apple's total revenue.

The company sold 20.34 million iPhones, 9.25 million iPads and 3.95 million Macs in the quarter, showing significant gains in all of its hardware except for the iPod, which continued to decline with sales of 7.54 million units.

An official press release predicted fourth fiscal quarter revenue of $25 billion, and diluted earnings per share of $5.50.
