Announcement: In Stock Magazine
Goodfellas Publishing, owner of the European rights to global phenomenon Vice Magazine, has announced the sale of In Stock Magazine to newcomer Skep Media for an undisclosed sum.
In Stock, a leading trade publication for games retail, has proven a huge success since launch, reaching head office, multiple retail store managers and independents. It is now widely regarded as the number one product guide for retailers in the market.
In Stock will transfer immediately (June issue) taking with it the same, highly respected, team of Alison Wood, Paul Devlin and David Lilley. The magazine will be moving to new office premises on Brick Lane, E1 from July 1st.
David Lilley, Commercial Director for Skep Media, said: "In Stock has performed remarkably after only four months. We're really looking forward to taking the current success and building on it.
"In Stock is already requested and read by 90% of the retail buying and selling market, publisher support is at an unprecedented level and the impact of the title continues to grow. It's now an essential part of every schedule for publishers reaching the retail community."
Commenting on the sale, Goodfellas Managing Director Allan Stewart said:
"This is a great move for David and the team. Goodfellas is focussing on other areas of consumer expansion, specifically in Europe, and we're delighted with the purchase. There are a lot of development opportunities within the gaming market and I know David has the experience, expertise and contacts to make the most of them."
In Stock is the re-launch of the Indie brand, reaching both multiple and independent retailers.
Goodfellas will continue publishing RRP Magazine in the sell through DVD market, DVD Monthly, Diesel Car and Vice.
