Ankh: Curse of the Scarab King

16th September 2008
XIDER Games will soon release Ankh: Curse of the Scarab King on Nintendo DS.
Players will travel through the bustling streets of Egypt’s capital city in the role of Assil, as the brave young explorer races against the clock to save himself from a Mummy’s lethal curse.
Ankh: Curse of the Scarab King’s landscape varies dramatically from the dusty streets of Cairo, to hot, arid deserts and glistening waters of the river Nile. Throughout the game players can explore beautiful buildings such as the Arabian Embassy, the Sphinx at Giza, Osiris’ Temple and the eye-catching surroundings of bazaars and market stalls.
When exploring the game’s exotic locations it is vital to scan the surroundings carefully, as even the most innocuous looking object could provide a valuable clue. For example, the combination of a cursed needle and a broken compass provide Assil with the necessary tools to plot a route through the unforgiving desert.
Assil’s mission is time critical and so navigating through the congested markets and sandy paths must be done in haste if he is to reach the Pharaoh’s palace before it is too late.
Following the success of the popular PC versions, this fun and colourful adventure will be available to play on DS in September 2008.
Notes to Editor:
Ankh: Curse of the Scarab King (DS) is the follow up to the classic PC adventure games introduced in 2005 and 2007.
