ANGILS - The Serious Games Association - To Appoint New Chair

London, UK - ANGILS, the association for serious games and emerging technology organizations announced today that Prof Bob Stone of Birmingham University has stepped down as Chair due to his project commitments at the human technologies interface team where he is director.

Martine Parry, CEO ANGILS said: "We thank Bob for his time, expertise and commitment as founding chairman to ANGILS over the last 10 months and respect the fact that he has a large number of projects that require his time that take precedence over other activities."

"We have come far in those 10 months: we have a growing membership; are positioned as a partner with other organizations for winning project funds through collaborative EU projects; have been the key market contact for various articles in the world's press; have initiated and produced Europe's leading serious games conference held in London each year and have produced a market research report on corporate learning games. It is with this backdrop of activities and focus that we will be honoured to receive our new Chair who will come on board with the next phase of growth in mind for ANGILS. "

Board member Kevin Williams of KWP, stated: "It is good to see ANGILS establishing itself in the maturing serious games industry and along with that we will have a reinforced direction and new phase of growth through our new Chair."
