The MD of distributor Andromeda Logistics has told GamesIndustry.biz that the firm is back on track, despite being affected by the major fire at the Buncefield Oil Depot in Hemel Hempstead.
Andromeda's distribution centre is located next to the depot and it's thought that some structural damage to the facility has occurred - but according to MD Matthew Allen, it has not yet been possible to assess the extent of the problem.
"Business has certainly been affected. We can't get on site at the moment as the police and the fire brigade are still there, so we can't see what structural damage has been done or how much inventory has been damaged," Allen told GI.biz.
"But we have moved to a bigger distribution centre in Hitchin, and the company has been fully operational since yesterday morning," he went on.
"All deliveries have been diverted to our new facility and we are now receiving and sending out orders."
None of Andromeda's staff were injured in the blaze, despite the fact that two security guards were working over the weekend. The guards were said to be "unhurt, if a little shaken."
