AMD64 TECHNOLOGY ADDS WEIGHT TO KYLOTONN'S BET ON SOLDIER: BLOOD SPORT

First Person Shooter game optimised for AMD Athlon™ 64 Processor Family

LONDON, UK, 21st June 2005: French developer Kylotonn and Britsoft publisher Digital Jesters, who have been working closely with AMD throughout the development of their forthcoming FPS Bet On Soldier: Blood Sport, today announced that the game will ship with a 64-bit version that has been specifically optimised to take full advantage of the processing power of the 64-bit AMD AthlonTM 64 FX processor.

The AMD Athlon 64 processor family continues to exceed expectations in facilitating the creation of dramatically enhanced and accelerated gaming experiences, with more and more developers taking advantage of the evolution in processing power.

Developing the game with built-in 64-bit capability enables much faster access and processing of data for PC games, allowing developers the freedom to create larger, more immersive game worlds, faster and smoother frame rates and, ultimately, a noticeably enriched gaming experience.

"As a developer we are delighted to be able to work with AMD. The state of the art tools and technology they've provided allows us to realise our creative vision in the best possible way," Roman Vincent, CEO, Kylotonn commented. "We've worked incredibly hard to make Bet On Soldier a solid and engrossing game, and it's fantastic to be able to further enhance that experience by optimising everything for the AMD Athlon 64 FX processor."

"AMD64 computing is taking the gaming community by storm by offering players the most eye-popping, blood-pumping experience imaginable," said Bob Brewer, corporate vice president, Desktop Marketing Segment, Microprocessor Solutions Sector (MSS) at AMD. "AMD led the charge into this new gaming realm with the introduction of its innovative AMD64 technology more than two years ago, and Bet on Soldier: Blood Sport promises to be a riveting addition to the growing line-up of 64-bit games."

About Digital Jesters

Founded in 2003, Digital Jesters is a British-based publisher of computer and video games. Set up by the duo responsible for launching and establishing the Sudden Strike and Cossacks series of games in the UK, the firm's remit is simple: to source and publish the best games available. The company's commitment to originality resulting in it snapping up the original TrackMania game from French developer Nadeo and DJ's ethos of community development strategy resulted in the game becoming one of the sleeper hits of the year. A tie-in with record-breaking yachtswoman Ellen Macarthur for the firm's second release Virtual Skipper 3 ensured the game received widespread attention among the elusive non-gamer, and firmly placed the publisher on the map. The firm has enjoyed three top 10 PC hits, one of which is from the developers Cyanide, creators of Pro Rugby Manager and now DJ is expanding its operation to cover additional territories. It has also published its own comic book to widespread critical acclaim. For additional information on Digital Jesters, please visit www.digitaljesters.com or www.djmediacentre.com
