Alten8 to release new RPG for mobiles
Oracle on schedule for Q1 launch
Alten8 has announced that Oracle, a new RPG produced in co-operation with Blossom Soft, is on schedule for a global Q1 release.
Oracle is billed as being created "by gamers, for gamers" and is said to be the first in a new series of mobile titles from Alten8.
The game is designed to appeal to both hardcore and casual gamers, and will be released for around 150 Java and Symbian-enabled phones. Oracle will be available in a wide range of different languages at launch, including Chinese and several other Asian languages as well as EFIGS.
Alten8 has also revealed that it has acquired a 50 per cent stake in an external coding company - no further details of the deal have been revealed so far, but it's thought that more information will follow soon.
Alten8, which was established at the start of 2005, licenses older games under its Retro-Soft brand as well as a range of new titles. The company has already released a range of software for PPC, Win32 and mobile phones, and plans to produce PC and console games during the course of 2006.
