Alten8 announces Broken Circle mobile RPG
Phones to get prequel to forthcoming GBA game
As a direct result of positive feedback from the release of its previous mobile phone RPG title, Alten8 has announced the development of a specially created prequel to forthcoming GBA game, Broken Circle.
Such was the response to the recently released Oracle for mobile phones, Alten8 has recognised and responded to the growing desire for wireless RPG titles, commissioning a mobile-specific prequel to 7Raven Studios' forthcoming GBA game.
Broken Circle is said to offer over 40 hours of gameplay, and the newly announced prequel is planned to be released across a range of around 150 Java-enabled handsets - with Symbian versions also planned at a later date.
Alten8 licenses older gaming properties under its dedicated classic gaming brand, Retro-Soft, in addition to working with a broad range of developers for the creation and publishing of original content on pocket PC , mobile, PC, PS2 and GBA platforms under the Alten8 label.
The company is committed to a long-term expansion plan as a developer, publisher and distributor of quality games from new and established authors and companies. Further details on the company's recently acquired stake in an external coding company are set to be announced shortly.
