Allods Online

Fantasy space MMORPG gets first update, bringing Arena of Death and Astral ship training mode.

Press Release

For immediate release

Dublin, Ireland – April 21st, 2010 – Gala Networks Europe, the leading free-to-play online games publisher, is pleased to announce a series of important enhancements to Allods Online, the subscription-less fantasy space opera MMORPG.

This first major update for Allods Online comes a few weeks after the game entered its Open Beta phase with much fine tuning and additions made in response to player feedback during that time.

One highlight of the patch is the Arena of Death – the next step in ground Player vs Player combat. The Arena of Death is in Yazes Shard and players must complete certain tasks to gain the right to enter it. Once in the Arena, Imperial and League players can fight each other. On a cyclic basis players will gain 50% more Glory points for one hour.

The game also now includes an Astral ship training mode for Level 38 and higher players who want to sample a taste of the Astral content, while their ship is still under construction or simply to try it out. On Astral Ships themselves, a number of improvements have been made to the gameplay details: decreased damage in some areas, a redesign of the league ship and components such as the visor, cannons, shields, and the motor.

Improvements to the Player vs. Player game mean that some camps and the main capitals will be more heavily guarded with more policemen and an improved respawn timer. Additionally the chance to increase reputation with the enemy’s faction has been removed.

Many more quests have been added, while a number of existing quests have been polished or fixed, whether in terms of reviewing the rewards or reworking their core mechanism. Some Instances have also been reviewed to create a better playing experience.

In addition, many graphical enhancements have been made which will subtly enhance the look of the game, without changing the overall visual style.
