Alien Arrives at ACMI Games Lab in Australia

Maverick Developer The Behemoth Showcased in Best of Independent Games Festival

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SAN DIEGO, CA, October 14, 2005 - Independent developer The Behemoth has arrived at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI), where its acclaimed debut title Alien Hominid will be showcased as one of the most innovative and exciting new computer games from the 2005 Independent Games Festival.

Alien Hominid won awards at IGF for Innovation in Visual Arts, Technical Excellence and Audience Favorite. Best of the Independent Games Festival runs through December 11 at ACMI's Games Lab in Melbourne, Australia (http://www.acmi.net.au), held simultaneously with Point and Tilt, a display of the next generation of mobile phone games in development.

"We are proud to be recognized at ACMI Games Lab along with some of the most innovative companies in the industry," said John Baez, co-founder of the Behemoth. "We took a big risk in self-funding the game's development, but the amazing response we've received from fans and media has made all the hard work over the past two years worthwhile."

Alien Hominid will also be making an appearance at IGN Live in Anaheim, California on October 22-23, which offers everything from first looks at new video games to live music and action sports.

Visitors at IGN Live may get a glimpse of the latest phenomenon, Alien Hominid on the Nintendo Game Boy AdvanceTM. Featuring 13 levels of head chomping madness, this version of the game was developed by Tuna Technologies for Zoo Digital Publishing and is set for release on November 1. Already a huge critical success on Sony® PlayStation2TM and Nintendo GameCubeTM, Alien Hominid on Game Boy Advance retains all the super-fast action and irreverent humor of the larger console versions but in a portable format that fans will really have trouble putting down.
