Alaplaya launches in Europe

Asian online games portal Alaplaya has officially launched in Europe, offering Manga-styled games to more than 50,000 users.

Asian online games portal Alaplaya has officially launched in Europe, offering Manga-styled games to more than 50,000 users.

The service currently offers three online titles — Fantasy Tennis, Come On Baby and Audition — with users able to customise their in-game avatars and socialise in chat rooms, forums and through instant messaging.

The service is licensed and maintained in Europe by Germany's Hubert Burda Media through it's own specialised gaming division, which also runs MMORPG Ragnarok Online.

Dancing game Audition was developed by T3 Entertainment and first launched in South Korea in 2005. Its makers claim that is now has over 300 million registered users across 13 different regions including North America, China and Brazil.
