Airborne Entertainment launches Family Guy game
First mobile game to coincide with the release of the latest Family Guy DVD
Initially available in North America on the Cingular and Nextel networks, Canada-based mobile content providers Airborne Entertainment has launched a new mobile game based on Fox TV's cult cartoon, Family Guy.
The first ever Family Guy mobile phone game, Stewie 2.0, has been released to coincide with the launch of Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment's latest DVD, Stewie: The Untold Story, which is a specifically created spin-off to the hit animated series, detailing the exploits of the maniacal baby genius bent on world domination.
The game puts players in the tiny white nappy of Stewie Griffin, as he battles a fierce robot horde with a mechanical army of his own, in a bid to bring his kidnapped family members safely home. Sound-bites from the series, dialogue and tips from the Family Guy characters and an array of robot fiends all feature in the colourful cartoon mobile universe.
Stewie 2.0 can also be purchased directly from the dedicated Family Guy Mobile website, which currently hosts an enormous, continually updated library of screensavers, wallpapers, ringtones, ringbacks, sound-bites and Family Guy themed mobile accessories.
Airborne Entertainment, a subsidiary of CYBIRD, intends to release the game in other territories, including Europe, over the coming weeks. The company's product portfolio includes both original and branded properties such as Family Guy, Donald Trump's Real Estate Tycoon, Speed TV Mobile, Maxim ToGo and Cosmo Mobile. All products are available throughout North America and Europe and the company enables retailers and branded destinations such as the Family Guy Mobile website to reach mobile users directly through premium and promotional channels.
