AIKA Online

"1000 vs. 1000" large-scale war MMORPG gets new content.

Aika Online ("Aika," http://aika.hanbiton.com), the ultra large-scale war MMORPG game served by Hanbiton ( www.hanbiton.com) as the game community portal of Hanbit Soft Co. (CEO: Gi Young, Kim), launched OBT within Korea and introduced new game contents.

Through the OBT, Aika characterized by "1000 VS. 1000" large-scale national war revealed its wide range of war contents. Instance dungeons and raid dungeons have been increased considerably with the addition of new items. Moreover, by improving castle-attacking battles as the highlight of Aika, regular users who do not belong to a "Legion (guild)" can enjoy battles. Community functions including messengers and auction houses have also been improved and added.

New instance dungeons and raid dungeons have been added. Including the two high-level instance dungeons added to the L'enfer region, an abandoned mine, powerful monsters and rare items that cannot be found in regular hunting fields await users in many instance dungeons. Users can also enjoy more diversified raid dungeons where users have to fight against boss monsters at a higher level than instance dungeons through this OBT.

Items involving a set of defense gears for each class and honor items have been added. In particular, the set of defense gears look more luxurious than regular ones with special skills. Additional options such as health power (HP), magic power (MP), and defense power (DP) will undoubtedly inspire a new level of never-say-die spirit among users. Honor items can be purchased with medals, and honor points, achieved by PvP (battles among users); their power reaches far beyond that of regular items. Honor items are expected to give added joy to users who enjoy wars since they are provided as rewards for wars.

At this OBT, general citizens who do not belong to legions -- or gatherings of users in castle-attacking battles -- can participate. In the existing castle-attacking battles, only battles between a legion attacking a castle and that defending it were available. At this OBT, however, gamers who do not join any legion or legions whose members are not enough can freely appreciate castle-attacking battles.

The community system has also been improved and supplemented. Logins can freely be checked, and chats with friends within the game have been enabled; messengers for chatting and "Alter network" wherein users can enjoy the game with unfamiliar users conveniently were found to be preferred by many users during the closed test. Even as the system has been improved and complemented at this OBT, the "sales agent system," a kind of auction house wherein users can transact items more easily and conveniently, has been introduced.

Skills for each class have also been expanded. Since the closed test, 3rd skills for each class have been added; wars can be waged more excitingly with more fun, and they are expected to balance each class further.

"We have made utmost efforts for the last three years to enable everyone to enjoy wars -- the best thing that's ever happened in online games -- regardless of their PC options. We expect Aika to be another success story given its impressive performance," said Yura, Kim, Director of Hanbit Soft.
