Ace Combat™: Squadron Leader

London, 1st February 2005 - Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and Namco Ltd are pleased to announce the launch of the official PAL website for Ace CombatTM: Squadron Leader: www.acecombatgame.com.

The website showcases the title's stunning in-game graphics, the extensive array of licensed planes featured in the game and more details about the campaign mode, in a high tech online environment that stays true to the game experience.

In addition, the site features an exclusive competition offering a once in a lifetime opportunity for one would-be fighter pilot to experience all the adrenaline rush of aerial combat for themselves. The lucky winner will be flown to Los Angeles, California, to experience the excitement of combat flying first-hand!

After a briefing in tactical fighter manoeuvres, the winner will be handed the controls of a twin-seat SF 260 fighter trainer - the same aircraft that top NATO pilots cut their teeth in. Once familiar with its handling, the winner -- accompanied by an instructor, of course -- will engage the enemy in six G-pulling dogfights! To become "Top Gun", pilots will have to outsmart, outgun and out manoeuvre the opponent, but don't worry - scoring a hit with the electronic weapons will trigger a smoke trail from the enemy, rather than sending him to an untimely end!

Ace CombatTM: Squadron Leader is due to launch across Europe, exclusively on the PlayStation®2, on the 23rd February 2005. The highly anticipated release is the fifth instalment in the Ace Combat franchise. The acclaimed Namco development team have dedicated themselves to creating what is now widely believed to be the best aerial combat experience on PlayStation®2.
