Abertay to host digital IP event
ELSPA, Nokia, SCEE and Scottish government lined up for September conference
The University of Abertay Dundee, UK, is to hold a two-day conference on September 1-2 to look at the issues surrounding digital IP in the creative industries.
Confirmed speakers for the event include ELSPA's director general Michael Rawlinson, as well as Nokia senior VP Louise Pentland, director for IP and technology at SCEE Hogarth Andell, and Scottish Minister for Culture and External Affairs, Fiona Hyslop MSP.
The event is being run by Digital Spark, and will focus on two key areas:
Leveraging on the University's unique skills and expertise to continue its contribution to cutting edge discussions at the frontiers of law and computer games education.
The provision of a forum for the exchange of ideas, and insights gleaned from experiences into the practical commercial use of IP in the digital creative industry.
More information on the event, and registration details, are available on the official website.
