A Stroke of Fate

VE Day celebrated with some new screenshots.

May 07, 2008

Victory Day (as we call that in Russia), or Victory in Europe Day (as it’s sometimes called by the Allies) is a very important day to remember. It’s not that we’re after pursuing and hurting those who might be “on the opposite side” during WWII. That’s all about memory and about raising our awareness of the fact that if you forgot about fascism, fascism isn’t necessarily so easy to forget about you.

Celebrated on 8 May (capitulation of Nazi forces to the Allies) or 9 May (when the German Instrument of Surrender was signed (in the midnight), it was already May 9 in the USSR and Eastern Europe), it doesn’t change the main thing – we’re all sharing the same history.

In anticipation of the holiday, we’re excited to offer you once again to peek at the past event as our new adventure, A Stroke of Fate, plunges you into the historical setting at the end of the war. Our main hero, Adolf Mayer, was in his forties in 1945 and, probably, hasn’t lived to see our days. But he would be happy to learn that the Day he was ready to die for is still celebrated across the globe!
